The agreement between you and Downly

A plain-language summary of how using Downly works, and what we ask of each other.

Downly is still being built. The summaries here explain how things work in plain language. The full, binding legal agreements — your Privacy Policy, deposit account agreement, and terms — are published here before you can add real money.

Here's the short version of our agreement, in plain words.

What Downly is

Downly helps you plan for, save toward, and make smarter decisions about owning a car. Downly is a financial technology company, not a bank — when you add money, it's held for you at our partner bank. Downly gives you recommendations and tools; it isn't financial, legal, or tax advice.

Your account

To use Downly you need to be at least 18 and give us accurate information about yourself. Keep your sign-in details private — you're responsible for what happens on your account. Downly is for your own personal use.

Using Downly fairly

Use Downly honestly and only for lawful purposes. Don't use it to break the law, defraud anyone, or misuse someone else's information. If we believe an account is being used this way, we may pause it to keep everyone safe.

The full agreement

This is a plain-language summary. The full, binding Terms of Service and your deposit account agreement are published here before you can add real money, and they're what govern your account.
